Playing Rules
Rules will be in accordance with the National Federation (High School) Rule
Book (NFHS), with changes to accommodate the 3-on-3 style of basketball.
• Each Team will consist of 3 - 5 players.
All players will be bracketed based on selected skill level, age, height, and
gender (coed available) in accordance with the information submitted.
• The length of the game is first to 16 points or 25 minutes running clock
with a 1 minute time out per team (stopping the clock) win by two. Overtime
will be first team to 18 points.
• The game is "losers-outs," made baskets results in a change
of possession.
• Each basket behind the 3-pt arc is worth 2 points and all other baskets
are worth 1 point.
• Competitive play is encouraged while rough, excessive, and violent play
whether it be physical or verbal will not be tolerated and will be subject
to technical fouls and ejection from the tournament.
• Sportsmanship and fair play is expected. A team sportsmanship award
will be rewarded for each division.
• All High School, College and Professional level players are encouraged
to check with their coaches and/or athletic directors about eligibility issues.
• Designated tournament officials shall have the power to make decisions
on any points not specifically covered in the Rules and Regulations handbook
and shall also have the complete authorization to interpret the intent and
purpose of the Rules and Regulations handbook.

Basketball Officials Association and Jack serves as Executive Director of Oregon
Athletic Officials Association. Howard and Jack bring 50+
years of experience and are among the highest regarded officials in the Northwest.
